A mixed media interpretation of the significance of the Inyambo cow and an exploration of color. Long, lyre-like horns are the iconic hallmark of the Inyambo. They are known for the affectionate, solid bond they form with their keepers, as well as their calm temperament. Their elegance is highly prized, earning them volumes of poetry. They have been currency, markers of social status. Still, most of all, they have been an undeniable pillar of civilisation in the African Great Lakes region as they have sustained communities for centuries with their blood and their milk.
