Manishimwe Louis

Manishimwe draws inspiration from real-life stories, particularly stories in African history. Born during the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, Manishimwe did not have an easy life but decided to use art to show that people can garner the energy to overcome even the worst circumstances. Manishimwe believes that art can help to show people that humanity can choose a better future for the world. Equipped with a canvas, paints, impuzu charcoal, and some Bob Marley tunes, Manishimwe wants to tell the world not to be afraid to look into the past because that helps us to create a better future.
