2020 | Acrylic on Canvas, stretched on wood frame
This drip painting depicts a man playing the Inanga, a traditional musical instrument in Rwanda and some other East African countries. Drawing from the experience in the COVID-19 lockdowns, the artist explores those lonely times when people try to find activities to keep themselves busy. Some people picked up the Inanga and started playing melodies to relieve their stress.
