In every local market, there is a place known as ku gasoko, meaning “small market.” This exists in different shapes and forms in every village. Usually, between three and ten in number, the tables at a ku gasoko sell fresh vegetables, fruits, and flour accessible to people who work long hours and need food for the night, with vendors typically working night shifts until 10:00 or 11:00 pm.
