The artworks exhibited are inspired by pre-colonial Rwandan aesthetics expressed through craft work exclusively made by women. Reviving traditional Rwandan aesthetics through illustration is a way for Dolph to reconnect with his heritage and acknowledge the intuitive understanding of geometry and acoustics held by his predecessors; their sense of expression through musical performances, and more generally, the pride of being Rwandan.
