We spend a lot of our time in salons. Whether we are getting braids, cutting our hair, or for discussion. A core part of our identity as Africans is nested in salons and in the hands of our stylist/barbers. They take care of us and listen to our lives. They cut, trim, braid and shape us before throwing us back out there.
