The Little Bee-eater, like all Bee-eaters catch nearly all of their prey on wing, which means they find a perch and watch for flying insects to approach before flying to catch their prey and returning to the same perch. Once there, they stun their prey before swallowing it, this Little Bee-eater also had to toss it in the air so it could be swallowed head first. I watched this Little Bee-eater for over an hour as it hunted - this photograph resulted after a successful hunt.
