3 (Lion Family)

Centering the bravery and power of the male lion, this painting brings attention not just to its fierce features, but to the way in which lions are the protectors of pride, peace, family and order. While these are common characteristics of lions, the features can be traced in human nature and society, as the efforts of some to bring security and resources to others. The painting is part of a series of three artworks, each one highlighting the many things we, as humans, can learn from animals and gain through respecting them.
