This painting depicts children playing during sunset in a place called Batsinda, a very serene, yet vivid spot, with lots of scenery that is appealing and rich in story.
I spent almost the whole afternoon in Batsinda the day I took the reference picture for this painting. I was able see many people busy in their activities, whether it was for earning a living or for leisure, just like the children in the painting who were joyful and quite energetic.
