Fine Art Painter

Iradukunda Gulain is a multidisciplinary Rwandan artist and curator working across painting and installation art. Currently based in Kigali and a member of the WearFragile Collective, Gulain balances a dynamic painting practice with hands-on, sustainable installation work.

In his paintings, Gulain utilizes bold, sweeping brushstrokes to capture raw movement and energy. His installation practice centers on creative upcycling, building three-dimensional physical structures from discarded technology, including motherboards, copper wire, and shattered screens. Termed "techno-fossils," these installations interrogate the digital footprint left behind by modern society.

Gulain's work has been exhibited internationally, spanning from Rwanda to India and Europe. Notable projects include a large-scale public mural at the Vadodara Train Station in India and fashion collaborations such as "The Sankara Suit," presented at the Institut Suédois in Paris.
