Slainar.t born Mugisha Gislain; a self-taught artist, Despite having a degree in Biomedical sciences, he dived into fine art, started with creating very realistic figurative drawings using only pen on paper, and then expanded his creative practice to more conceptual works and variety of techniques.
In Slainar.t artworks, he mixes his pen strokes with different materials such as papers and markers, to express the feelings of the represented person and to connect with audience. He Creates art by assembling various elements of contemporary art and transmits his thoughts and emotions to his
works so that they can speak in his absence.
Slainar.t’s works has been displayed, exhibited and collected locally and internationally in various countries including Japan, Germany, France and Canada. He likes to try new things and looks forward with expanding his practices in various techniques in future.
