This painting depicts the traditional dance of Rwanda, the Intore. Historically, the Intore were soldiers who went to battle and returned to tell their glorious tales in victorious dances. Today, these dances are performed in various ceremonies such as weddings. The Intore is a symbol of bravery, loyalty, and heroism.
