When I think of Rwanda, the iconic Inyambo cows immediately come to mind, as they hold a deep and enduring place in our culture. In this piece, I incorporated a mask on the head of the cows to symbolize our ancestors, the people who came before us and whose legacy we carry forward. This work is a tribute to the old traditions, honoring them as they continue to resonate and evolve in the modern age.
