Landlocked Rwanda is characterised by undulating hilly and mountainous terrain, with rain forest on the western heights and heavily-cultivated fields in the valleys below. From the central areas, the land slopes away to the Savannah and marshes of the east. It is considered the most densely-populated country in Africa with a predominantly rural population. Brushes meet the stretched canvas, the palette knife creates an impasto look that captures the green pastures of the west side, together resulting in a beautiful image of Rwanda's courageous recovery to become a stable country with a truly inspiring story.
