Patrick Gusenga has been a gifted artist from an early age. He got a lot of exposure in his village, simply through his drawings of cartoons and characters from movies. Identifying his gift, his parents sent him to the prestigious Nyundo Art school, where he majored in graphic art. He later attended University and studied Digital Media production and computer graphics which pushed him to become a consultant in the field at a very young age. He has the ability to bring beauty through colors and takes a critical view of social, political, and cultural issues, often referencing Rwandan history. His work explores the varying relationship between popular culture and fine art. His artwork is arranged schematically, inviting the viewer to move into a space of speculation, mainly through digital art and acrylic painting.
